Citibank Karachi in its two branches on Saturday received two envelopes carrying white powdery substance, say sources in the bank.

The mail coming into the bank under standard operating procedure is opened at a designated place. The bank authorities have sent both the envelopes to the Aga Khan Laboratory for ascertaining the nature of the chemical substance.

According to sources such white powdery substance had been received in the past also. It was sent to the laboratory for testing anthrax but it turned out to be talcum powder.
